About David Booth
David Booth is currently an Entrepreneur in Residence & investor at Blackbird. He is a community builder at heart and gets a kick out of making connections. For nearly 7 years he did this at extreme scale as co-founder and CEO of On Deck — where he helped 1,000+ companies get started, find their first customers, hires, and investors, and raise over $2 billion.
Prior to this, David built a career at the intersections of product management, venture capital, and law — from early days at AngelList, to Carta, 500 Startups, CoinList, and more. Before that, he built startups while studying at the University of Otago, and worked in venture capital roles at Movac and GD1.
David is now based in Cambridge, Waipā, New Zealand and we're delighted to have David speak at our first Waipā Tech Meetup.
